At the Lancashire BBC Make a Difference Awards on Saturday, Jon Nichol received the Fundraiser Award for Luke’s Legacy. The award is for an individual or group that goes the extra mile to raise funds.

Jon was a finalist in last year’s Wyre Community Awards.

Wyre Community Awards 2025

Nominations for the Wyre Community Awards are now open!

The awards will take place on Thursday 4th December in Hambleton. We need your help to find the worthy winners!

The awards will recognise the important work our voluntary, charitable and community organisations make in supporting our communities.

There are three award categories:

1. Making a Difference to Children. The organisation making the most significant impact to the lives of children in Wyre.
2. Making a Difference to Adults. The organisation making the most significant impact to the lives of adults in Wyre.
3. Making a Difference to the local Community. The organisation making the most significant impact to a local community.
