Garstang Town Awards Nomination Form 2026

Nominations for the Garstang Awards are now open!
Categories for the 2026 Awards are:
1) Sports Team of the Year -
Courtesy of Garstang Sports and Social Club
To the Sports Team that has been most successful in developing community participation in sport.
2) Business in the Community - Courtesy of Cllr. Lady Dulcie Atkins and Cllr. Mrs Alice Collinson
This category is open to any business operating in the Garstang area. This will include Sole Traders, Limited Companies, Partnerships, and any other business having a legal structure including charitable organisations.
3) Good Citizen of the Year - Courtesy of Scotts Hairdressing
A person in the community who makes a big difference to someone else, an unsung hero in your eyes.
4) Youth Group of the Year - Courtesy of Garstang Fish and Chips
Awarded to a group with an average age up to 18 and a maximum age of 21 that provides a significant benefit to our young citizens.
5) Community Group of the Year - Courtesy of Marsden Building Society
Awarded for a team who are making a significant contribution through their time, actions, talents and dedication for the benefit of the community.
6) Junior Citizen of the Year (4-11 years) - Courtesy of Carrs Jewellers
A young person in the community between the age of 4-11 who makes a big difference to someone else, an unsung hero in your eyes.
7) Young Citizen of the Year (12-18 years) - Courtesy of Lady Dulcie Atkins
A young person in the community between the age of 12-18 who makes a big difference to someone else, an unsung hero in your eyes.
8) New Business of the Year - Courtesy of Cllr Alec Allan
This category is awarded to any business which commenced operating in the Garstang area any time in the calendar year prior to the 31st December before Nominations Open. This will include Sole Traders, Limited Companies, Partnerships, and any other business having a legal structure including charitable organisations.
Mayors Trophy - Courtesy of Former Garstang Mayor Peter Ryder
There will also be an overall mayor's Trophy awarded at the discretion of the Mayor to an individual or team for an outstanding contribution to Garstang.
The nomination window remains open until end of Sunday, 22nd March 2026.
