Garstang Temporary footpath closures

The Environment Agency has informed the Town Council of the following:
We are beginning work to repair the East Gate at Garstang Flood Storage Reservoir.
The work is expected to take 3 months to complete and is due to be completed in September.
During this time, temporary closures will apply to the foot paths in the vicinity of the works.
These will largely be similar to the closures last year, with the underpass under by the UU
abstraction point, the main UU access road and access to the Millenium Green being closed oƯ.
There may be times during the project when it is possible to re-open sections of the footpaths
intermittently and we will take all steps to not restrict access unnecessarily. Managing the
health and safety for our staƯ and members of the public is our priority and so we ask that
members of the public respect the closures when in place and follow the diversion routes that
will be sign posted.
