The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has issued a safety notice for specific batches of Dunelm heated electric blankets sold in 2022 and 2023.

The affected products present a potential fire risk because the copper wire within the cable can fray. This may cause overheating and could result in a fire during normal use.

Locate the care label on your electric blanket (you will find this attached to the fabric) to check your Barcode and Batch matches the affected products:

If your product matches the affected details, stop using it immediately.

You should then either:

• Contact Dunelm on 0333 234 0870 to claim a free replacement cable, or
• Return the blanket and cable to your nearest Dunelm store for a full refund.
